青年海外協力隊時代の印象的だったイベントの一つは奨学金制度の設立。その奨学金制度の最初の奨学生の2名からFacebookを通じて連絡があり、それぞれが海外等で活躍し、家庭をもち、充実した人生を歩んでいるとのこと。奨学金が少なからず彼らのキャリアに良い意味で貢献できたのではないかと思う。当時の関係者、支援者の方々には感謝してもしきれない。この奨学金制度は後輩が引き継いでくれて20年間で延べ200名の奨学生を輩出しているとのこと。
20年後の答え合わせ、「やって良かった」

One of the most memorable thing during my stay in Ghana is the establishment of scholarship program. Recently, I had contact with the first two scholarship students, which were my students. They are doing very well. I reckon that the scholarship program has contributed to their carrer more or less. I am very grateful to all the people involved and supporters at the time.
